The below facade improvements were funded by the Allegheny Foundation and matched by part of an estate left by former resident Michael Prestia.  In some cases the amounts allocated for each building were also matched by the building owners.  All buildings selected were over 50 years old and facade projects conformed to the historical characters of each building.  Because of the facade funding, in some cases, we saw the building owners also do interior work that enhances the work that has been completed on the exteriors.
